New fashion store opened on Madison Ave.

Hi there! I am Nicole Grey. I am the owner of Nicoles on Madison. We are located on the corner of Madison Avenue and E61st Street. I run the store with my cousin Relena Sagawa, who currently also manages it for me when I am not here. At the moment we have a wonderful selection of designer handbags, with such labels are Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, and some Coach. We offer Linden Purchaceable items, which are all of the clothing, and some of the shoes. We are expanding our inventory daily. This is a new-used boutique that does buy and sell designer items. Only the best of the best though. We are also looking to hire!

[OOC] Live from Concord

What happening now? The 4 Brookings sims will be deleted within a half hour. Beside of that in the background our major maintenance Nelson Jenkines decided to quit. He packed up his things - also the roads of Concord City - and left the group and the city.

People bitching about their rentals and shops - unnecessarily - because sim rules says no refunds and everybody accepted this rule when started a rental in Concord or Brookings.

Now people feel ourselves lost and chatotically, but there is no problem, roads will be placing back tomorrow and everyone can find new rentals in Concord City.

The group chat has been suspended because crying and bitching people.

Concord City and Concord West regions are closed to public access during the repair and replace of lost objects which Nelson Jenkins has removed.

[OOC] End of Brookings

We have to inform all our citizens and roleplayers to every 4 Brookings sim ceases. If you have rental there, don't extend your rental time. You can find rentals on the two Concord sims later. This is not good news but this is because the conflict and problems of owners and they paying for the lands, keep this in your mind. The sim leadership announced for sponsors and new owners for the 4 Brookings sims but looks like nobody came forward so far. Say a sad good bye for Brookings before they will be deleted.

Fortress of Brookings

What makes the governor afraid of? There is something to hide from? Or the police can't handle the rising crime? These questions arise when we glimpse the massive walls and prohibition signs around the mansion of the governor. Its really looks like a fortress with these signs, cameras, steel gates and sentry box.

That is not a good sign if the governor is so afraid of something. And when a governor is afraid, what about the citizens? I doubt that the governor want only peace of mind because for that did not require such a wall and security equipments. The depressing big walls covering and hiding everything behind them. What is behind the wall? Huge area with the luxury mansion of the governor, an own little forest, helipad and a half-military base. And what was this all built from? From the money of citizens of course. Why? We don't know. But everyone is sure that something is wrong.

Lifting up the people

Later, at evening, as the rescue helicopter lifted up more and more victims on board, the flood was higher and higher, reached the streets of southeastern Brookings and the lower streets were submerged and needed to evacuate more citizens.

The flood is on the streets already

Few hours later the flood reached the Brookings Airport and covered it more and more.

Later the rescue team needed lift up more people stucked in their cars on the water covered highway. Because the rescue helicopter was very busy and quickly full, our news helicopter joined to the saving. We also lifted up as many people as we can with our winch. Because we flown over the flood almost half day long we had low fuel and needed to land at the PD Station of Brookings South. Fortunately every people has been evacuated and only light injuries occured. Only one person needed respiration after saving him. We haven't information about any death case.

Odd creature seen in Concord

An odd creature seen on the roof of a skyscraper few days ago. The creature was big and looks like a dragon from fairy tales. The creature was quiet and sneaky, it was just a luck to we noticed him. He looked around a while and flew away, not seen since.

The appearance of the strange creature launched a number of rumors in the town. Wonder where he came from and what is he?

Concord Subway and urban developements

What is the similarity between women's breasts and model trains? Both are made for kids, but men play with them.

The city leaders and CTA devised the plan of Concord Subway and have begun laying of the rails and placing the way stations. The subway will link Brookings and Concord City together and schedulet trains will facilitate the life of the Brookings who go to work every day to Concord City. Travelling by subway you can avoid the traffic jams on roads, thereby saving time and fuel costs. CTA will announce the schedules after the opening of the subway.

In addition here have also a new place for sports and hangout on a new basketball court on Cypress Boulevard between the Munro and Madison.

[OOC] There will be again auto-traffic on the highways of Concord and Brookings, so don't be afraid seeing the colored cubes and stucked NPC cars.

Organized RolePlay [ORP] scene

As a new idea we try organize roleplay scenes henceforth, to dispel your boredom. We will announce the roleplay scene here on the CCN blog, maybe there will be opened a new block on the right side of the site to you can see always the current one.

For ORP you need to sign up for the scene. We will make a list of roles we waiting for the scene. For certain roles you need to be at the appropriated department as FD, PD, CTA, CCN, BCA, NJSP etc. You can sign up via IM or notecard if I'm offline (Katalin Larnia). In the notecard you need to mark your role and your available devices, vehicles, apparatus for the scene.

The scenes are only starting points, the events and happens depends on you. We will set the scene at the announced date and the game starts. If you haven't any role in the scene but you want to observe, feel free, but please don't disturb the scene and stay behind police lines or any other spectator limit. When too many people want to see the scene we please to not everyone stay next to the scene. If it is possible stay on the neighbour sims and use your camera to watch the scene to reduce the lag on one sim. (If you staying at the sim border you needn't more than 128-152 m draw distance).

Our first ORP try will be a hijack action on the airport. There will be a landed airplane (with interior) which is hijacked by criminals with hostages, and the police will free them and capture the criminals. It could be a sharp position or just police training too, depends on you. No deaths or permanent deaths when fire fight, injuries only.

Date: 04.05.2011.  2 PM PDT
Localization: Brookings County Airport

Roles:
2 - 4 policemen (1 negotiator)
1 - 2 firemen and ambulance
2 - 4 criminals
1 - 2 hostages
total: 6 - 12 participant

Ideas:
- negotiation
- fire fights
- hostage liberation
- claims of criminals
- trying to escape with claimed car

But all depends of the participants!

Breaking news - Fire at a construction site

Again fire on Munroe Avenue. This time a construction site was overwhelmed by the flames. Firefighters processioned with a truck because the extension of fire wasn't significant, only a truck burned on the street but later the flames spread to the house under construction too.

The fire was growing and reached the upper levels of building. FD called for reinforcement and with the arrived ladder truck they extinguished the fire succesfully. As we know no person injured but the material damage is considerable. The Police and the specialists of FD investigate the cause of the fire. The Police does not exclude the possibility of criminal act.
